"What do you mean?" he asked.
"Like, when you and I were…" she wanted to say in love, but she figured it wasn't the right time, "closer."
"Yeah. I feel it." He glanced over at her, looking slightly puzzled.
"I mean like, we're still close I guess.. But you got a girlfriend and we kind of drifted apart." I looked at him with a feeling of sadness.
"Well, you always know I'll have mad love for you." He gave her a half smile. She figured he meant like a friend, although she wished it was more, "yeah, me too." She returned the smile.
"Hey, I gotta run," he told her.
